Summary

On Thursday, September 9th 2021, between 8:00 p.m. ET and 10:45 p.m. ET, some users experienced a “too many redirects” error when logging in to the Partner Portal. This issue was reported by a customer at approximately 10:00 p.m. ET.

Root Cause

A change to improve our monitoring resulted in unintended modifications of login requests in some circumstances, which caused a redirect loop.

This change was reverted once identified.

Remediation

We plan to update our login process to reduce the likelihood of redirect loops, allowing errors in the login process to be more easily detected.

Resolved
From 3:50 p.m. until 10:45 p.m. US Eastern Time, some partners may have been unable to log in to the Partner Portal. We have rolled back the change that caused these issues, and the incident is now resolved.
