Pages and Live API degradation
Incident Report for Yext
Postmortem

Summary

On April 1, 2020, from 3:32 PM–3:38 PM US Eastern Time, some users may have had difficulty loading websites hosted on the Yext Pages platform or making calls to the Yext Live API.

Root Cause

A general Internet routing issue caused a global traffic disruption for CloudFlare, our primary CDN, as documented on their trust site at https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/incidents/b21kvb7g394m

Remediation

Yext engineers were quickly alerted to this incident by our external monitoring systems, and tracked its effect in our telemetry. We were prepared to failover to our backup CDN in the event of an extended outage. We will not be taking any further remediation action at this time.
