On February 20, 2020, at 4:43 AM Eastern Time, pages in the Customer Portal and calls in the Platform APIs related to listings and reviews started returning errors to customers. Service was restored at 5:47 AM.
A database server failed leading to unavailability of part of the platform. We were able to recover the server and restore service.
We will look at the root cause of the machine failure to reduce the risk of future occurrence. We will also look at our paging process to reduce the impact of similar future events.
