On October 24th, 2019, from 12:46 p.m. Eastern until 1:00 p.m. Eastern, Yext monitoring systems detected a performance degradation for sites hosted by Yext Pages.
Incoming traffic to Yext Pages during the period increased to four hundred times the normal levels, causing performance degradation for normal traffic. The traffic appears to be an attempted denial-of-service attack.
We plan to improve caching in our serving infrastructure to allow us to handle this class of attacks in the future without degradations to normal consumer traffic.
