Summary

From 8:48 PM Eastern to 9:11 PM Eastern customers experienced increase error rates when using Yext’s administrative services UIs and APIs.

Root Cause

Routine online maintenance on a high contention database led to many queries failing, impacting the availability of the platform.

Remediation

Starting immediately we are modifying our procedures for this database and will only perform these types of operations during maintenance windows. We have also begun work to change the architecture of parts of the application to reduce contention issues.

There is an increased error rate in the Customer Portal and Platform APIs. We are working on restoring full service now. No impact to consumer serving via Pages or the Live API.
