On June 7th, 2019, starting at 1:36 AM EDT, the Customer Portal, Platform API, and Sandbox Yext platforms were unavailable. Yext engineers began investigation immediately, and identified the cause as network connectivity issues with one of our data centers. Our provider’s oncall staff was contacted and began remediation efforts as well. In the meantime, Yext engineers prepared for complete failover of the platform to a secondary provider. Data center connectivity was restored by our provider at 4:47 AM, at which point Yext services also recovered, and complete failover was not required.
A network outage in our data center completely cut the connectivity to Yext systems. Once our provider repaired their networks, Yext service was restored.
