On April 21, 2021, beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET, the SSL certificate for our Sandbox environment and the Hitchhikers Site expired, resulting in the Sandbox Customer Portal and Hitchhikers Site to be unavailable. Service was restored at 8:43 a.m. ET after engineers updated the certificate. Production services were unaffected by this outage.
As part of our upgrade of our serving infrastructure, we have begun to route our traffic through our content delivery network. This inadvertently caused our certificate monitoring system to fail silently.
We have since updated our monitoring system to work successfully with our content delivery networks.
